If you want a taste of traditional Japanese style with Western comfort, this hotel is the place to be. The wooden bath and tatami mats add a lovely touch, making it a cozy stay. However, the lack of sunlight may be a downside for some. I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Kyoto.

The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of Gion and just a stone's throw away from Yasaka Shrine. However, the dining experience fell short with limited options, and the outside of Kyoto view was a minor downside.
